The Township is currently conducting a traffic study of Oakland Road through its traffic engineering consultant, Pennoni Associates. On May 6, 2026, Pennoni presented the study's initial findings at a joint meeting of the Planning Commission and Board of Supervisors. This marked the first time Township officials received and discussed the study results. The presentation from that meeting is available below for public review.
The presentation identifies four preliminary options that may be considered to help address traffic concerns on this Township-owned roadway. These options are not exhaustive; rather, they are intended to serve as a starting point for discussion. Additional alternatives and modifications may be explored as the study and public engagement process continue.
No decisions have been made. The Township is committed to a thorough, transparent process that includes meaningful public participation and careful evaluation of all potential options before any course of action is considered.
The Planning Commission will hold two public meetings to further discuss the study and receive public comment at 7:00 p.m. on the following dates:
• Tuesday, July 14, 2026
• Wednesday, October 7, 2026
The Township encourages all interested residents to review the presentation and remain engaged as this process moves forward.
